Waiting for Places

I knew this day would come. I have been dreading it for months. One year without “Chicago”. 365 days of not going to the Ambassador Theater and putting on my costume 6 days a week. Not doing the amazing choreography. Not seeing my friends. No 5 show weekends. No false eye lashes. No “places” calls. I knew today was going to be hard, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and make today something to look forward to and work towards. My own “waiting for places” call. A reflection of how I have been using this time away. There has been a whole lot of nothing, but also lots of reading, self-reflection, drinking and learning a new creative skill. I am the art director, photographer, model, MUA, editor, creator of my life. We are capable of hard things and no matter what we have been up to during this time “away” we are still here, waiting for our “places” call.
